  1. Well I don't really have any idea of how my feet move when I walk, though I assume it's fairly normal as no-one's ever said anything... but whenever im stepping around a ledge or stair, I always press really hard mid-sole on that one tendon, one the bottom. Perhaps I can find a way of walking that naturally does this.

  2. I am glad to know that you are in the same boat that I am. I'm 20 and have toe walked all my life. I was born pretty premature and I think that might have something to do with it. Like you I switch back and forth and tip-toe more when I am barefoot. Good to know I am not alone haha.

  3. This is a pretty old blog, but my son is 14 and he walks on his tip toes.
    I don't think he'll ever stop.
I'd love to know if you ever did?
    (or anyone!)

  4. i also walk on my tip toes! i m 23 and i'm doing it since one year!
i usually walked heel striking, but then i saw a blog where a guy (Guglielmotti) suggested to walk on tip toes for several health benefits:
    -improved postures
    -reduced back pain
    -improved muscolar tone

and i just started it. Now i feel normal to walk on my tip toes and find innatural the other way.
i actually dont like no more the "normal" way of walking as i indeed feel the strike my heel has to adsorb (and transmit trough the leg) and i feel it is rather uncomfortable and also a bit painful for my heel.

    if you are interested:

it is in italian but if you are interested you can just write in english, the man is very helpful and will certanly reply.

And in the comments you can read (if you know italian) lots of people who have tried walking this way and feel much better in many ways.
    Cheers
